Veterans Service Officer from the
Wyoming Veterans Commission will conduct
community outreach services in March.
Veterans and their families can discuss state
and federal veterans benefits, Department of
Veterans Affairs claims, or VA healthcare.
The veterans affairs officer can also help
veterans and their families apply for
benefits, file claims or request healthcare.
She'll be in Douglas on Thursday, March
6th at the Workforce Center, 311 N.
Russell Ave, from 10:30am to 1:30pm, and in
Lusk on Thursday, March 13th at the
Niobrara County Courthouse from 10:30am til

Spring Volleyball League Organizational
Meeting will be held on Thursday,
March 6th @ 7 PM at the Douglas
Recreation Center Commons. Call the Rec at
358-4231 for more information.
Auction will be held for DHS student
Raymond Bryson. Raymond has been diagnosed
with Ventricular Tachycardia Fibrillation
which is a severe heart disease, and causes
300,000 sudden deaths per year. Raymond and
his family are traveling back and forth to
Salt Lake City for doctor appointments,
procedures, and surgeries and will have
ongoing medical expenses. The benefit auction
will be held on Saturday, March 15th
at the Falkenburg Auction House on East
Richards in Douglas. Cash donations can also
be made to the Raymond Bryson Benefit Account
at Converse County Bank. Call Toni Patterson

Senior Center will hold a Community
Wide Flea Market/Craft Fair on Saturday,
March 15th from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, at
the Glenrock Rec Center. Admission is $3.00
(Under 12 Free).Sellers' Table Fee is $25.00,
with Table Fees and Admissions to be divided
between area Non-Profit Organizations.
Applications for Tables are available at the
Glenrock Senior Center.

Citizens Center will serve their annual St.
Patrick's Day Buffet on Monday,
March 17 from 4 to 7p.m. Menu will
include, corned beef, roast beef, fish,
macaroni & nacho cheese, new potatoes,
baby carrots, cabbage, salads, desserts,
rolls and coffee & iced tea. Adults
$10.00, 4 to 10 $5.00, under 3---free.

Business roundtable meetings are
opportunities for businesses in Platte County
to network, share business expertise, and
identify potential small business resources
in their community. All interested parties
are welcome to attend. Roundtables are funded
in part by Platte County Economic Development
Corp., Bank of the West, the Wyoming Women's
Business Center, and the U.S. SBA.
Olveda Photography Scholarship is a
$1000 scholarship is available to all
graduating seniors at the Douglas High School
that intend to further his/her education in
the field of photography at an accredited
university or college. The list of submitted
materials must be dropped of to the guidance
office by Tuesday, April 1st. Please

needed or more information about the Richard
Olveda Photography Scholarship. Scholarship
funding provided by the Douglas Chamber's
Platte River Photography Show held every year
in January at the Wyoming Pioneer Museum.
High School SkillsUSA chapter is
selling raffle tickets for a Star 30PK 9mm
pistol with 3 clips and a case. The tickets
are $20 and the proceeds will benefit Allison
Barnett. Tickets are available from any local
SkillsUSA member. The winner will be
announced April 26 at 7:00 pm at a
live auction event at the Douglas Country
Club, but you do not have to be present to
win. The winner must be able to pass a
federal background check and must be at least
